PENNSYLVANIA – Cecilia Knaub, senior from Phoenixville Area High School, made her future evident Wednesday, February 4, 2015, by signing her NLI (National Letter of Intent). February 4th marks the first day that high school seniors could sign scholarship papers for the following sports: Football, Men and Women’s Soccer, Water polo (Mens’ only), and more. The National Letter of Intent is a binding agreement between the student-athlete and a college, by which the student-athlete agrees to attend the college for one academic year.
Knaub, M, will be looking to continue her academic career majoring in Economics at Penn State University and her athletic career playing Soccer. When asked why she chose Penn State University, she said “I chose Penn State for the opportunity to compete for a National Championship at one of the top programs in the country. Our goal is to keep dominating the Big Ten and win a National Championship.”
Tim Raub who is the Head Girls’ Soccer Coach at Phoenixville Area High School had this to say about Knaub:
“Cecilia epitomizes every leadership quality you could want in a high school player. Her hard work and dedication are second to none and she is one of the key reasons why our program has been as successful as it has over the last few years. We can only hope that our younger players have taken something from what she provided.”
Congratulations to Cecilia on advancing your academic and athletic career at the next level. All of us at DigitalSports wish you luck!
